I noticed that the brewing time is lengthened if you don't change the filters every 6 months or so-- I was ordering them off the Krups website, but they are on back order. Was glad to find them on amazon -- at a cheaper price too. It may seem like a lot of money, but when you consider how long they last -- its not so bad (I brew at least one pot or more of coffee a day)
Excellent service by seller. The product was shipped promptly with no problems. The filters (two in package) are the original accessory as manufactured by or for Krups (not an aftermarket substitute), so no review on the filter itself is intended.
I have an older model of a Krups auto drip coffee maker. I wanted to see if buying a new filter was all I needed or a new coffee maker. You can't find these filters in any stores. I was thinking of buying a new coffee maker because my coffee wasn't tasting right. The filter works and I am happy. The price was good but, the shipping cost was higher than the cost of the filters.
My old filter was falling apart and I had little black specks of charcoal in the water. New filters solved that problem. Back to grit-free coffee.
My morning coffee is important to me. After reading up on the subject, I felt it was definitely worth a try. But lately, no matter what brand I bought (and I tried quite a few), they all tasted like muddy water. Someone suggested I needed to replace the charcoal filter in my Krups coffeemaker. Having recently received my order of replacement filters, I am a TRUE believer in the necessity of filtering the chlorine (and whatever else) out of your water prior to making the coffee. If my old coffeemaker keeps going, I will definitely be purchasing more replacement filters in the future.
